This kitchen in Madison NJ got a much needed update. Previously closed off from the rest of the house, we took down two walls to open up this space. Now with an open concept space, the kitchen is the hub of this household with stunning black accents and natural wood cabinetry. The kitchen is an L-shaped layout with a large working island for meal prep and for sitting down to enjoy a meal. The black honeycomb/hexagon backsplash and black kitchen faucet make this a very contemporary space. Perfectly balanced by the bright white counter tops and wooden cabinetry that have bi-fold lift up upper cabinets for easy access.

Updated this jack and jill bathroom with a girly touch- matching crystal hardware and lights with light and airy purple walls. The medicine cabinets are framed which add to the more traditional style of the bathroom, with polished chrome faucetry that also add to the shine and shimmer of the bathroom. The shower and bathtub are combined and tiled with long subway tiles while the niche has small tile detailing that pulls colors from the vanity.

This classic 1920's center hall colonial has remained mainly intact over the years, except for a large kitchen and family room addition built approximately 20 years ago. This renovation creates a kitchen space that will be brighter and flow more seamlessly between the older and newer areas of the home. Vintage and modern selections are mixed throughout the space. We increased the footprint of this dated master bath by stealing space from the adjacent walk-in closet and re-configuring the placement of the toilet, tub and shower. The new finishes reflect both the period of this 1920's house (white subway tile, basket weave marble tile floor, and marble accents) while also adding the homeowner's modern style (black grid shower enclosure, black cabinets and brushed brass fixtures).

This house looks small from the front but it has a few additions to the back. We are adding the missing corner of the house and by doing so, enlarging and opening up the kitchen to the back family room. The larger sunroom will be more a more functional space with room for plants, a breakfast table, and workspace. The kitchen will feature an island hood, double sink, and new pantry closet. Heated floors will be installed in the sunroom for additional heat in the wintertime.
